A business partnership I was part of broke down a couple of weeks ago, and my ex-partner filed a criminal complaint instead of resolving the matter under the partnership deed. Given this situation, I want to know: Can an FIR be quashed on the basis of a compromise or settlement in a corporate / company director fraud case?
